Finding more domaines
Burgundy has more than 260 tourist cellars. Estates with the Vignobles & Découvertes wine-tourism label, created in 2009, pass an audit coordinated by the BIVB, display a sign at the entrance and commit to a welcome in French and other languages.
The BIVB's online cellar search covers winegrowers, négociants and cooperative wineries. It filters by village, the dates of your stay, tastings or cellar visits, and languages spoken, including English.
Before you go
- In September and October, some estates are less available because of the harvest and cellar work.
- From November to March, fewer wineries are open.
- Bouchard Aîné & Fils doesn't run its Parcours des 5 Sens on the Wine Sale weekend, November 13–15, 2026.
- Ask about fees when you book at Bouchard Père et Fils and Joseph Drouhin.
- Leave pets at home for Château de Meursault, which doesn't accept animals.
- Spit or choose a designated driver if you are driving between domaines.
