Where to stay in Burgundy starts with the town. The four hotels below are in Dijon, Beaune and Gevrey-Chambertin. Two are mid-tier 4-star hotels and two are 5-star luxury hotels.

The Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune hillsides stretch for 60 kilometers between Dijon and Santenay. The UNESCO-listed Climats are associated with the towns of Dijon and Beaune.

Which area to stay in

The four hotels are in three towns: two in Dijon, one in Beaune and one in Gevrey-Chambertin.

Gevrey-Chambertin

  • La Rôtisserie du Chambertin is on rue du Chambertin, about 0.4 km (straight line) from the center of Gevrey-Chambertin. It is a 4-star, mid-tier house.

Getting around

The train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Dijon is direct on the TGV INOUI and takes 1 hour 32 minutes at its shortest. Slower direct TER services also run.

Paris to Beaune takes about 2 hours 15 minutes by TGV, with one connection via Dijon. The TER from Dijon to Beaune takes about 20 minutes. For the full options, see Dijon to Beaune: TER Train, Bus, Car and Bike Options.

The station for Dijon is Dijon-Ville. The station for the Côte de Beaune is Beaune. Chagny and Santenay also have stations, and Meursault station is 2 km from the village.

Some village stations are not in the village, so check how you will get to your hotel if you are traveling without a car. Burgundy Without a Car: Trains, Buses and the Voie des Vignes covers the options.

Maison Philippe le Bon has private parking in its courtyard when you book. Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa offers valet parking and has electric bikes to rent for the vineyards.

Spit at tastings if you are driving, or name a designated driver.
